The Perfect Picnic Quilt

I had the opportunity to try out AccuQuilt’s new Fork-Knife-Spoon die before it was released! I’m loving being part of the Go! Getter program.

The project I created for the die is a picnic quilt. You can see the whole project over on the AccuQuilt blog, which includes a tutorial, so you can make your own picnic quilt.

I used fabric I picked up at Quilt Market. It sure feels good to put fabric to good use, especially something that I’ve had for a while but is still available in stores. I used Betty’s Luncheonette, by Violet Craft. I love the fruit shapes (perfect for a picnic quilt!) and also the bright colors. Isn’t it pretty?

I loved it as soon as I saw it at market. You can still get a lot of the prints at Gotham Quilts.

The 6 1/2″ die was perfect for the background of this project. The squares are big enough to show off the print, but small enough to keep the quilt interesting.

I love how my project turned out. What do you think? Be sure to head over to the AccuQuilt blog and read all of the details.

  1. This is super cute! I love the bright colors and the tiny fruit is adorable!

  2. This is a fun and easy quilt! Those fabrics are perfect for it and of course lovely to have the dies do the hard work!
