The Woppet Bucket

My first Adorn-It project is complete! I decided to make a Woppet Bucket, by Anna Cunningham, of Clever Woppet.  It is a newly released pattern, and so cute.

I decided this would make a perfect gift for my niece, filled with crafty goodies, so I used the sweet little girls in the “Girlfriends“* fabric from the Sunshine Girls line.  The pink* and yellow* prints are also from Adorn-it.

Construction was very straightforward, and Anna’s instructions were easy to understand. I used three fabrics, rather than two, because I am difficult.  More fabrics are always better for me.

It is a nice roomy pouch.  It will hold a serious handwork project.  Or, I bet it would be the perfect size to corral my 100 Days 100 Blocks project.  Hmm.

The handles pull up, and scrunch the top together.

This is the interior of the bucket.

I need to spend some time behind the scenes at Dizzy Quilter this week, but I am hoping to put together a tutorial video for this project.  It is so quick and easy, and the results are just wonderful.  Everyone should be giving this a try.

Anna mentions that the front panel is perfect for orphan blocks.  I do believe my next piece will feature some fancy piecing.

You can find the pattern on Etsy. *

  1. I love this. Does everyone find the handle pulls up easily? I made mine with cotton fabric and was wondering about lining the casing with something shiny but would it then not stay pulled up? 🤔
