November Etsy Finds

I don’t know about you, but I have been doing a lot of my shopping on Etsy lately. I love knowing that my money is going to a small shop owner, someone who is probably thrilled with each and every little sale, unlike the big box stores. This month I’m going to share some of my favorite shops and items Mom and I have been enjoying.

Favorite Shops

First and foremost, if you want to check out my shop, you can find it here. Right now it is just downloadable patterns. I’ll be listing quilts and some smaller items in the coming weeks.

My friend Jackie has a fantastic shop. She has hats, fingerless gloves, and fantastic art pieces. Fingerless glove season is upon us, and you deserve a pair in up-cycled cashmere.

Are you looking for fabric? My friend Maryellen has a great shop, and she carries quite a few Island Batiks, including precuts. Check out MaryMackMadeMine.

Mom’s Favorites

I’m lucky enough to have my Mom living with me. Her artistic endeavors tend more towards handwork most of the time. Right now, she is in the midst of Sashiko Fever. It is a joy to behold. Here are some of her favorite toys, I mean, tools.

This Speedweve loom is really cool. I want to get my hands on it and play.

These folding scissors from Snuggly Monkey remind me of the ones my grandma, Honey, kept in her purse. Rose gold is so trendy now, too.

Snuggly Monkey has a crazy selection of amazing scissors. I’ll be expanding my collection.

Finally, we have sashiko thread. This stuff arrives at my house by the crate.

Perfect Projects

Jumbo Jet Checkers Set from Bramble Brains

Looking for the perfect DIY gift? How about a quilted checker set?

I’ve participated in the Moss and Lotus Tomte stitch along every winter for a few years. They are adorable and fun.

Random Weirdness

Okay. I’ve just about convinced myself that I need a new fish tank. For now, I’m enjoying these marimo moss ball trees from The Moss Boss. I have no explanation, but they make me smile. Hopefully my future fishies will enjoy them.
