The Lancaster Quilt Show

I’m teaching at the Lancaster Quilt Show in Lebanon Valley this April! I was so excited when they reached out to see if I was available, and of course I am. I love teaching. I’ll be there for two days, teaching a total of four classes, all machine stitching, since all of the classrooms have Bernina sewing machines (my favorite!)

The show is located at Lebanon Valley Expo Center, 80 Rocherty Rd, Lebanon, PA 17042, USA. If you have been to the Lancaster Quilt show before, you will be excited to hear that they have a new location in Lebanon. It’s a little more customer friendly – better parking, all one level, etc.

Come sew with me!

Kawandi Style Quilting by Machine

Friday April 12, 9am-noon

I love making Kawandi style quilts on my sewing machine. I love hand stitching, but sometimes I want to get a finished project more quickly. In class we will make a placemat.

Improv in a Framework

Friday, April 12, 1-4pm

I will lead students into improv piecing, using one of my favorite projects. We will do straight line improv with a ruler, for safety. We will work on getting started with a throw, students should be able to make several blocks during class.

Partial Seams

Saturday, April 13, 9am-noon

Using my Rotation quilt pattern and some fat quarters, we will practice feeling like wizards while we learn the partial seam technique. Nothing beats showing off your quilt and having your fellow quilters tip their heads to the side as they ponder how you put those blocks together.

Intro to Improv Piecing

Saturday, April 14, 1-4pm

Ready for improv, but don’t know where to start? Let’s play with a layer cake and some skinny strips. This simple quilt is quite striking, and so much fun to make.

Class kits are available for all classes, but are optional. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
