Pumpkin Projects

I know, I am a little late for the pumpkin party this year. I’m SO DISTRACTED by everything lately. I thought I might do a roundup of my favorite pumpkin projects that I’ve done in the past.

First up is my Pumpkin Play quilt. I love this one so much. This was one of my first published quilts, in The Quilt Pattern Magazine. I was so pleased with that achievement. Plus, those stems are felted wool. It has such great texture.

Another favorite pumpkin project was my velvet pumpkins and acorns with Accuquilt. They are super simple, using a circle die. I didn’t find them this year, although I didn’t really look. I’m tempted to make a few more to scatter around the house. I should put a reminder in my calendar to work on pumpkins in August next year.

I also like this little pumpkin mini quilt, although it lives on my wall year round.

If you are still here, you deserve a reward. This is my favorite pumpkin dessert, which I make every year at Thanksgiving, and sometimes at Christmas, too.

I hope your week is lovely. I am getting some projects finished up this week, as we are going out of town after Thanksgiving. I’ll have some fun stuff to share soon. Who is up for another oven mitt? Just kidding. What are your favorite pumpkin projects?

  1. I don’t tend to make too many seasonal quilts, but pumpkins are super fun. And I love pumpkin pie so much that I often have it as my birthday dessert. 🙂 I’m glad it’s Friday, it’s been a full week. I hope we all have a great weekend.
