Angie at GnomeAngel is hosting a weekly sew along this year. I’m a devotee of both Angie and the Quilter’s Planner, so I’m in.
Here is Week 1’s block. It is “Unnamed” by Jane Armstrong, of Jolly and Delilah. I’m going to be using my stash of Alison Glass fabrics, along with other pieces from my stash to fill in. The batik is one I picked up at Joann Fabrics recently. The light blue is leftover from my Snowflake Shimmer project. Perhaps it is Cotton Couture in Aqua? I’m not certain.
I’m going to try to follow along fairly closely with the colors laid out in the Quilter’s Planner, but not in solids.
I found the instructions on this block to be fairly confusing. I put it together before Angie released her handy tutorial. My block came out at 14″. I am waiting until all of my blocks are complete to see if I will be cutting it down.
The construction method leaves two extra striped units. I’ll be putting them together the same way. It will eventually end up on the back.
These are beautiful fabrics. I can’t wait to see your other blocks as they come together.
Thank you! Alison Glass designs amazing fabric.
Love the colors and perfect piecing too!
Lovely work Jen. It should make a beautiful quilt!
