Needles
My favorite hand stitching needle. I use these for big stitch quilting and embroidery. They work well with a wide variety of thread weights. Best of all, I can see them!
I get them from SueSpargo.com. From time to time they may be listed in my shop as well.

Threads
I prefer a 12 weight cotton thread for big stitch quilting.
Fruitti by Wonderfil is my favorite.
Valdani and Aurifil are also lovely.
Looking for more graphic punch? 8 weight perle cotton is fun. Again, Wonderfil, Valdani and Aurifil are all great. Tencel Perle by Trailhead has a lovely sheen.

Snuggly Monkey has a great assortment. -
Fabrics
Yarn Dyes are my favorite fabrics for hand stitching. Most fabric shops will have some, although not many have a really great selection. Which is why I pick them up whenever I see them.

Batting
The needle slides right through, like butter. The drape is so luxurious. All of my large pieces are now made with Hobbs silk batting.

Scissors
Best scissors ever. Light, comfortable, and the serrated edges give me a feeling of control while I cut.

Fancy Thimble
This is very similar to the one I have. That version doesn’t seem to be available anymore. They are expensive. I love mine and wear it like regular jewelry, because it is.

This little beauty by Clover will get the job done. After you wear through the pair, get yourself something more substantial.
