Kawandi Style Quilting On-Demand

Guys – I did a big thing this week! I finally finished off my Kawandi Style Quilting On-Demand class! I’ve been working on this for a long time, trying to get it perfect. I realized it will never be perfect, so I pushed the button and released it. I’m so excited by the reception it has already had!

Why an on-demand class?

I’ve gotten feedback from a lot of folks that the times I offer my live classes don’t work for them, and they can’t get to wherever I’m teaching in person. I’m customer service oriented, so an on-demand class feels like a great fit. I will still be offering live virtual and in-person classes, but hopefully I can accommodate more students this way.

What is included?

I’ve recorded over an hour of instructional videos for this class. I have written a lot of words. I take you through everything I cover in my live classes, but with no interruptions, and no random discussions of weather phenomena from me. Also, you can re-watch the videos as many times as needed. There is also a forum for students to share photos of projects, ask questions, and get answers from each other and me.

Topics covered

  • History of Kawandi (very brief)
  • Tools
  • Fabrics
  • Techniques
  • 3 project guides – coaster, placemat, baby quilt
  • Bonus pattern for Kawandi Project Bag
  • Ideas for further exploration

Price

Oh, minor detail. The class costs $49.99.

Best of all, Kawandi Style Quilting On-Demand is a living document. As I get student feedback, I will continue to improve it. I will add new projects as I try new things. I’m really looking forward to getting feedback – I love improving my products.

  1. I really hope your class is received well. My schedule simply will not allow me to engage in it at this time. I hope it continues to be available for a long time. If I had known about this quilting style when I was growing up, I would have certainly made at least a few quilts using it.
