I simply cannot believe how quickly this week has gone by! The My NYC Blog Hop is all finished, and my goodness, there are some gorgeous projects featuring My NYC! I’m so happy to be able to work with Gotham Quilts and help launch their new fabric line. Read to the end to find out the giveaway we have coming up this weekend!
Becca from Sugar Sand Quilt Co. made a beautiful quilt using her Star Crossed Pattern and the My NYC fabric collection. She also went on a road trip to get some incredible photos of her top. Click through to her blog to get more info on this pattern – it’s gorgeous.
This is some serious devotion to the craft of photography.
Deborah from Fish Museum and Circus made a fantastic bag and coin purse! You MUST visit her site and see how adorable the coin purse lining is.
Next up we have Emily from The Darling Dogwood, and her I Heart New York quilt. I love that the pattern she used showcased the fabrics so well, with large blocks to give a good sampling of the fabric design. And the skyline photo – chef’s kiss!
Siobhan from Create Design Make 365 Studios made a beautiful version of her Rainbow Quilt pattern. The color work she did with these fabrics is spectacular.
Sherry from Powered by Quilting used the New York Beauties & Flying Geese book by Carl Hentsch. This is so cool – I may need to pick up this book.
Have you wanted to try your hand at Puff Quilts? Autumn from Geometry and Joy put together a tutorial using My NYC!
Lissa has me ready to take a bite of the Big Apple with her project. OMG. I’ve already purchased the pattern and done a fabric pull. Now I just need to make some time to play… Check out Lovingly Lissa for all the details.
Of course, Laura from Slice of Pi Quilts has an amazing project, too. Check out these suitcases! This would make the perfect gift for my husband, the travel junkie.
Kim from Go Go Kim decided to use Upside, a free pattern from Gotham Quilts for her project. It looks amazing! This is another pattern with big pieces – perfect for showing off your large scale prints.
Of course, I can’t skip showing off my newest version of Rotation. I love this pattern so much! I’m actually putting a virtual class up on my calendar to teach it next month. (Can you believe I finished it off – quilted, bound and labeled, and sent it to the shop as a sample and forgot to take a photo?) Kits are available at Gotham Quilts!
Okay. You did it! You scrolled all the way through! Thanks so much for hopping along on the My NYC Blog Hop! My fellow bloggers and I are hosting a giveaway over on Instagram, beginning on Saturday, August 13. We will have a bunch of pdf patterns, thread, and fabric bundles, including My NYC! The giveaway loop will kick off at 9 am ET on Saturday. Good luck!
What a great collections of projects!!
Isn’t it? I work with amazing designers.
Thanks for hosting such a fun hop! I love seeing all the different ways the fabric was used, and the tributes to New York City.
