The Divided Double Zip Pouch pattern from Sew Lux Fabrics is excellent. I decided to finish it off – it has been waiting patiently on my shelf long enough. It is going to be the perfect take-along pouch to hold my next EPP project.
I wasn’t in love with the lawn mini charm pack it came with, so I decided to break out my Adorn-it stash. The charm pack will get added into my stash for future scrappy projects.
Replacing all of the fabric from the kit felt silly, but the fabrics that were included are so nice – I might just pick up a few more zippers and make another one. I had to fussy cut the little girls from the Sunshine Girls* fabric, which added a bit of time, but was so worth it.
I used the included Perle cotton to do a little bit of decorative stitching around the girls.
This pattern was the most complicated pattern I have made from Sew Lux so far. It came together nicely, though, and I finished it in just a couple of hours.
Because I cut out the fabric from stash, I used a larger variety of prints than the original pattern calls for.
The Adorn-it fabrics are so cute, and I’m really enjoying playing with all of them.

It’s a bigger pouch than I thought at first, until I saw the photo with your hand on it. I love the fabrics, especially the fabric on the back. How deep are the two zippered pockets on the front?
Thanks! The front pouches go all the way to the bottom. It is really big.
Nice! Those front pockets would be handy 😊
Super cute, great job!
That is one cute zip pouch – love its size and the pockets on two sides. So interesting how many varieties there are to what one might think is a simple process. In my opinion, the more pieces of fabric you can use, the better off you are!
