I recently discovered the best surprise package in the mail. I’m a member of StitchCraft Marketing, and sometimes I sign up for things, then forget about them. When the Love + Leche lotion bar campaign was announced, I was thrilled, and I signed up immediately. I had totally forgotten about it by the time the package arrived (which was probably the next week.)
I received a full sized Lemongrass lotion bar, along with a small “Anywhere balm”. The lemongrass fragrance is awesome. Very citrusy and clean, and not overly feminine.
All of it was packed in a cute little pouch with a goat painted on it.
The lotion bars themselves are beautiful. They are poured into a mold with a lovely bee pattern. I’m into bees, so I try very hard to use the bottom of the bar instead of the top. I can’t stand to wear away the pretty pattern!
You have to warm them up in your hands a bit when you use them. I rub them a few times, then rub the lotion into my skin. It does take a little while to absorb fully, so I don’t use it immediately before I start doing hand work. I just put it on while I am gathering supplies. By the time I’m ready to work, my hands are silky soft and not greasy.
The anywhere balm is a cute little tin. I’ve been using it as a lip balm and also as a cuticle treatment. I can’t have my fingers looking ragged when I do tutorials!
I was already familiar with this brand before signing up to review them in return for a free product. This is my honest opinion, unaffected by being sent a freebie.
I received a pair of lotion bars for Christmas, and my husband and I love them. That’s right. My husband loves them, too. In fact, the Lavender Mint one lives on his bedside table, and he uses it almost every night. We were both suffering for Northeast Winter hands – rough knuckles, peeling cuticles, etc. Not anymore.
I also have the Citrus-Rose scent, which I adore. This scent is pretty feminine. I think this is the reason my winter/stitcher skin went away. I tend to get pretty rough skin, particularly on my thumbs when I have intense handwork sessions. The lotion bars have helped a lot.
My favorite part is that they are lotion bars, and packed into tins. I keep one in my purse, and I don’t have to worry about it leaking and making a mess. I also might have a slight tin fixation. Everyone reuses tins, and has 7 or 8 in their purse at all times, right?
If you are interested in trying a Love + Leche lotion bar, they have given me a coupon code for my readers. Through June 15, enter the code dizzyquilter to receive a free mini balm with a $15 purchase. You can find them here, along with lots of information on their products. I might have to go order a few more. It’s never too early to start stocking the gift closet.
Hi Jennifer,
I’ll check this out! My hands are in such rough shape from this winter, and I love the scent of lemongrass. Yes, I do think that everyone has 7 or 8 tins in their purse at all times . . . . Thanks for sharing! ~smile~ Roseanne
I hope you like it as much as I do!
This sounds like something I HAVE to try! Thanks for the recommendation.
Thank you for the info. I just placed an order today. I can’t wait to try the products! Thank you for the code to get the free mini balm. Have a great day! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom
