Happy Monday, and welcome to Day 7 of the Sew Good Blog Hop! We’re back to continue playing Deborah Fisher’s Sew Good Collection from Windham. Today’s maker is the one and only GoGo Kim! Kim is another of the industry insiders I love to follow. She always seems to know what is going on – I suspect she has a network I can only dream of. Kim does a lot of re-purposing of items, and I’m so into that. Quilting was built on recycling one thing into another, and I love it when the circle continues. Make sure you poke around in Kim’s blog and find her post on “Thrifted, gifted or found“. It’s fantastic.
Today Kim made this stunning New York Beauty block. It’s so beautiful! I want to quilt it (you should hear this sentence in a little demonic voice.) I might have to make one for myself so I can quilt the life into it. Or maybe I can get Kim to send hers to me for a visit. Hmmm. I especially love the symmetry of a New York Beauty made out of fabrics designed by someone who lives in New York.
Don’t forget, Sew Good will be shipping to you local quilt shop (if they ordered it) this month! Make sure you ask them, and if they don’t have it, you can get it directly from Deborah at Fish Museum and Circus. If you haven’t been to her site yet, here’s a little motivation for you.
