I’m so relieved to finally be sharing this post! I’m ready to get my Island Batik Ambassador year officially started. I received my box on December 20th, but wasn’t supposed to share until today. I even put off opening it until December 26th. Usually I rip right into it, but the video making meant that I needed to have a clean room and some time to focus. There is zero focus on anything other than holiday panic for the week before Christmas in this house.
This year was very exciting. The Ambassador Swag Party started earlier in December, when I received a box from AccuQuilt. My new die for our 2020 challenge is a big one! Then the big box from Island Batik showed up. I think it was 28 lbs. It had a “Team Lift” sticker on it. Which means two men, or one really stoked quilter. My final package arrived in January, this one was another one from Island Batik. I am one spoiled princess.
Here is the video. Please notice, my nails match my shirt. My girlfriend sells Color Street nail polish, and it is so much fun. Also, I buttoned my shirt incorrectly. #humility On the plus side, I don’t get so nervous about videos anymore.
And now, for the photos.
I love the Stash Builder Bundles. They have just enough fabric to get me excited, without making me feel like a hoarder.
Ancient Etchings by Jackie Kunkel of Canton Village Quilt Works got me pretty excited. Jackie has the precuts in stock now! You can see the project I made for January here.
Seriously. How am I supposed to get any housework done when people are sending this stuff to me? Cascadia by Claudia Pfeill is To Die For. And also, a rainbow! These will be shipping to stores in May.
You will be seeing more, a lot more, of Primo by Ebony Love of LoveBug Studios next month during our blog hop (my date is Feb 26th). I can’t wait to get started on my project – just a few things to wrap up, then it is play time. This line will be shipping to stores in February.
This Rosey Posey rayon has me wishing I knew how to make pretty clothes. Maybe Mom will teach me how to make myself a tank top.
I’ve got a glorious assortment of basics, blenders, and foundations here.
This neutral in Eggshell is outstanding. It will give so much sparkle to one of my projects this season.
I’m excited to try these different Schmetz needles in my Bernina. She’s a high maintenance lady, and deserves the very best. I’m especially curious to test the non-stick ones with a fusible project.
I might have to do some thread painting with these pretty spools from Aurifil. They make such a pretty sunset.
Look at all of this batting from Hobbs! We are going to be drowning in cozy quilts here pretty soon. I literally filled up a room at the library, and there is still no shortage of quilts in this house.
Last, but certainly not least, is this awesome new die from AccuQuilt. I’m so lucky to work with them as a Go! Getter. They know I love the curvy stuff and hook me up when they can.
The Glorious Nine Patch is a BOB die, which means Block on Board. One die cuts all of the pieces for the block. So efficient!
Well, I’m off for now. I have so much to do! I’ll be back with another post for you soon!
Don’t forget to check out my fellow Island Batik Ambassadors. They have all been sharing their unboxing videos over the last week.

Beautiful rainbow collection, have fun creating.
I am literally drooling…honestly…..that is THE most incredible unboxing I’ve seen….this box would be the best birthday/Christmas/anniversary gift EVER!!! I’ve been quilting since 1976 and just dream of getting a box like this! Congratulations on you “ambassador-ship”….;) Blessings…
I know! It’s incredible. Thanks for watching!
Love the video and the haircut.
Thanks!
ummm 2 things… 1st. major FOMO! 2nd… your haircut is SUPER CUTE!!!
Aww, what FOMO? Your name is on some of the fabric collections on my list! You are moving up the ladder!
Wow! What a feast of fabric and sewing accessories. I must confess to being slightly jealous!
Oh wow! What a great box. The colors and patterns are amazing!!!! Yum-o-licious! Your dog bark made my puppy, Osky, stand up and bark and then walk around my desk looking for the other dog. LOL!
That’s Toby. Mom’s big dog has a big bark.
LOL! Osky’s bark is bigger than 9 year old Kipper’s bark.
Love your new cut! Wonderful job on the video and good luck with the ambassadorship this year!
Loved seeing your fabrics up close! Can’t wait to see what you create with them.
I like your Team Lift explanation–two movers or one excited quilter! Lots of pretty fabric there!
