Little Triangle Pouches

I took a little work break yesterday while the longarm was working. Every once in a while I like to make something really quick, and these little triangle pouches were perfect.

All of the fabric used in these projects was given to my by Island Batik, as part of their ambassador program. Thank you for supporting my creativity!

I followed a tutorial by A Spoonful of Sugar Designs. They are quick and easy, and so adorable.

Last year at my guild I was the recipient of a gallon zipper bag full of 5″ and 6″ zippers. I love being there when someone is cleaning out the closet. The biggest challenge has been finding a way to use these. Guess what I’ll be selling at my craft fair table?

My Island Batik scrap pile has been growing in an out of control fashion. I keep getting new secret sewing projects, and they make more and more scraps. This project used up a few little bits. Maybe if I make like 1,000 it will make a dent. It is good for batting scraps, too.

I used a scrap of white batting – it was on floor and now is three little pouches. I didn’t bother with fusing, instead I quilted my first little panel. The second one I did as a crazy scrap piece. I did it by stitching and flipping, so the whole thing was quilted once it was pieced. I like this better than the original.

I made a third pouch with a larger base. I started with a 6″ x 12″ rectangle of batting for it, and it came out very nicely. It loses some of the cute factor as it gets larger, but it is more useful.

Aren’t they so cute? I hoard the ribbons that my fabric comes bundled in – it is perfect for the little tabs on the bag!

I need to put together a binder of these fun little projects. It’s so nice to sit down and make something cute from start to finish in less than an hour.
