The Quilting Cowboy

Have you been introduced to the work of Dale Allen-Rowse yet? He also goes by Quilting Cowboy. Go over to his website and check out his work. You can also find him on Instagram and Facebook.

My mom turned me on to Dale, and I’m so glad she did. About a month ago he posted an inspiration board for a new fabric line he is designing for Windham, and that he was looking for quilters to make samples with his new fabric. I loved the collage, so I applied. I was beyond thrilled to get an email from him a few weeks later, letting me know he had chosen me to be a part of his design team.

When I saw the original collage, a design idea popped into my head immediately. I especially liked the image in the upper left corner.

Also, I love pottery. I have a particular weakness for the ones with glazes that look like they are melting and changing color.

This is all I can share with you right now, and probably until October. I did briefly have some strike-offs that Dale shipped to me for ordering purposes. The fabric is gorgeous, and very masculine. I’m hoping that this project is one my oldest son finally likes. Want to see a sneak peek of the fabric?

That was mean. Sorry. I promised Dale I wouldn’t share anything early, and I won’t. But, as soon as I can, I will inundate you with photos. Pinky promise.

There are three other members of the design team. Check them out.
