Skyline – Finished and Hanging

For those of you that asked, here is a photo of the completed Skyline quilt hanging up at Gotham Quilts in New York City.

It is hanging from the railing in front of the classroom, also known as the room where I frantically bind quilts sometimes.   It is suspended over the APQS Lenni machine.  I quilt on that sometimes, and also teach the Longarm Certification class that is required for people who want to rent time on it to complete their own quilts.

The quilt next to it is a Glam Clam.  Andrea pieced that one for a class and I was allowed to quilt it.  Doesn’t she pick the best fabrics?  I’m trying to lure her to my studio to pick fabric bundles from my stash for me to work with.
There has been some discussion about preparing Skyline kits, and I turned in the swatch page this past week.  If you want one and it isn’t available on the website, just give them a call and ask about it.

You can read more about the creation of this quilt in my original post.

  1. This is a fantastic quilt, Jen! So creative, and the colors are fantastic! Maybe someday I’ll get to visit NYC, but for now, I’ll just enjoy your skyline quilt!

  2. I really love the Skyline quilt! I’m so glad I could see it on your blog, Jennifer. Like many other quilters, star blocks are my favorite. The setting and colors are marvelous. I’m going to poke around your blog to see if I can find closeups of your quilting.

  3. It is gorgeous! I so love it and the one next to it is a nice complement. So great to see your work displayed that way.

  4. It’s so lovely!!!! I was one who was hoping you would post a picture of the whole quilt. The colors are amazing!

  5. It’s a gorgeous finish, and I’m so glad I caught the post that has it. Absolutely beautiful quilt.
