Client Quilting – October

I was surprised when I went through my photos and saw how many quilts I have finished this month.  It is so much fun to get to work with all of these different quilters.
This is Glam Clam, quilted for Gotham Quilts.  Andrea pieced it using an acrylic template.  I may have picked them up in two different sizes, just in case I find some time on my hands.  I can’t get over how much I love these fabric combinations.

Mary gave me an unusual top.  She had me quilt it before she added the appliqué.  She will be adding poppies, so I did a bit of research and came up with a poppy leaf pattern.  I’m pleased that my drawing skills are coming along nicely.

Chris entrusted me with this lovely top.  I’m totally jealous that someone will be receiving this as a Christmas gift.  I had a tough time coming up with a quilting pattern.  I finally decided to pull this motif from the fabric.  Of course it doesn’t show up on the front of the quilt at all. Luckily, it shows up quite nicely on the back of the quilt.

Shirlee gave me this little beauty.  I love dense stippling behind appliqué.

Anne gave me this little top.  It is from a class she took at our guild.  The pattern is called Tumbling Triangles, and uses the V-block Tool from Deb Tucker.

She also asked if I could quilt the borders on this piece, which she had grown weary of quilting on her domestic machine.  The quilting went surprisingly well.  I had no puckers or anything.  I love the rich raspberry color of the border. You can’t see it, but I quilted feathers in the borders.

I’m so happy I took the plunge in March to get my Gammill.

  1. Nice work. I bought a long arm in Feb this year. It’s getting more fun all the time. Practice makes you better for sure. Thanks for sharing photos.

  2. Thank you for doing such a great job on the quilts I have brought you! Knowing I have you to finishe them has me inspired to quilt more, and to work on larger projects!
